It’s amazing to watch because there are people watching from every angle.
Cyril takes a stroll through the streets of Roppongi, Japan (Tokyo area) and finds a crowd to entertain inside a restaurant. Taking general items in the restaurant Cyril passes them through glass. Amazing.
It’s amazing how he works his street magic up close in front of crowd and always right in front of cute Japanese girls cause ratings go down when he selects a guy as a volunteer.
This time Cyril heads to Chinatown in Yokohama, Japan and passes by a grocery store selling mainly fruits…I don’t see magic like this anymore. It’s great to see Cyril bringing us street magic like this and it’s exciting and fun for everyone. There are people surrounding him while he is doing his magic tricks so he must be incredibly crafty with his hands.
Anyone you show Cyril’s magic to will be absolutely amazed.
His “Magic Xperience II Tour” starts later this year across Japan from Tokyo on October 8th (my birthday – Go Cyril!) and finishes in Okinawa on December 2nd. Tickets are from 8400 yen – 8900 yen (about $79 – $83) and they are are on sale now (from June 7th, 2008). If you enjoyed the videos it would be worth it to see him live!
Cyril Takayama is an-award winning magician of the highest order designated by F.I.S.M. (Federation International Society du Magique) and was awarded the highest honor top prize in the Grand Illusionist category (it is the Olympics of magic).
This video is Cyril Takayama paying a visit to Ueto Aya while she is taking a break on set.
The first trick that he performs is the same trick that David Blaine performed when he had his Magic TV “David Blaine: Levitation” special back on US TV. The difference is that the camera zooms in up close so you can see the trick in more detail and it’s not with a quarter but it’s with a 100 yen coin – which blew me away.
Watch Aya Ueto’s jaw drop as she watch’s the magic being performed right in front of her.
Gotta love Cyril’s magic. It’s truly amazing.
Cyril Takayama, the ever popular street magic marvel in Japan is on the new MTV show Room 401. From the producers of Punked (Ashton Kutcher) it’s a show where they use magic to create eerie, supernatural situations to scare the hell out of people.
Cyril Takayama is in part 4 of 4 of that episode (last part).
What he does is one of his signature magic tricks. Can you figure that one out? He does it so quick and it looks realistic as well so everyone thinks that he must be an alien or some supernatural creature.
This was the first exposure I had of Cyril early in 2007 and I immediately was mesmerized with his magic. Watching this scene I was thinking “Man, I wish I could do that!” (and don’t we all!!).
I think they were in front of a MOS burger shop when he did this trick. All my friends I’ve shown this to were in awe when they saw it. From then on I’ve had a lot of love and respect for Cyril’s magic. David Blain and Cris Angel are both great (but a little eerie) although David Blain is doing some strange magic or “stunts” nowadays.
UPDATE! This shop was not a MOS burger shop but a Freshness Burger (フレッシュネスバーガー) fast food shop.
Here is an image of the Freshness Burger Cheeseburger (not that exact one!) that Cyril ate!:

Cyril Takayama dresses up to become the oldest magician in the world: Grandpa Cyril. He heads to the bowling alley, entertains the Japanese customers there and tries to bowl.
We love watching his magic in action. He takes street magic and makes it fun to watch for everyone!
He is currently on tour throughout Japan for the rest of 2008.

Also, he is part of the group Magic X Live which is made up of 10 of the youngest up and coming magician’s in the world!

In this video Cyril Takayama walks into a grocery store where patrons are bagging their items* and he looks for a specific item…
*In many large Japanese grocery stores (like JUSCO and Max Value) patrons / customers bag their own groceries now.
