This girl is Miho Kanno. A popular Japanese Idol, Japanese Model, Japanese Drama Actress and singer (she’s only released a few singles though). Quite cute, popular, attractive and very recognizable I have seen her in many poster advertisements around Japan for various companies. The first few times I was introduced to her was through one of the weekly mangas where they have a photospread of new and upcoming idols back in 1997. Later I saw her in the drama “Koi ga Shitai! Koi ga Shitai! Koi ga Shitai!“.

The theme song of the Japanese Drama “Koi ga Shitai! Koi ga Shitai! Koi ga Shitai!” is sung by Karen Carpenter of the Carpenters. It’s called “Rainbow Connection” written by Paul Williams and Kenneth Ascher and originally performed by Kermit the Frog. The song sung by Karen Carpenter was never released until 2000 with “Koi ga Shitai! x 3” debuting in 2002. The song was produced in 1979-1980, over 20 years ago and Karen Carpenter asked her manager to promise never to release it. With so many requests from the fans it was later released in the Carpenters’ album “As Time Goes By” ( MP3 Version).
