Do you remember plugging quarters into any versions of Street Fighter 2? I remember when we would wake up at 6am to walk in the rain to our local donut shop to play just so no one would challenge us (of course after all that practice there was no need to do that later on…he he he).
Well, if you were a big fan of the series you might have caught the anime movie when it came out in 1994. It was based on the original storyline of Super Street Fighter II with Ryu, Ken, Dhalsim, Blanka, Chun Li, Guile, Zangief, M. Bison – Crimelord and final boss (Vega in Japan), Balrog – Boxer (M. Bison in Japan), Vega – Freddy Krueger claw masked man (Balrog in Japan), Sagat.
There is a code you can enter in Street Fighter Alpha for both the Sega Saturn and the Playstation which allows you to do a tag team match of Ryu and Ken VS. Vega/M. Bison (50 hit combo including super!!):
Street Fighter Alpha: Warrior’s Dreams – Dramatic Battle Cheat to fight M. Bison on 2 players for Sega Saturn and Playstation
Sega Saturn: Start 2-player game in the Arcade mode. 1st player highlight Ryu and 2nd player highlights Ken. Both hold L+R and then press Up, Up, then release L+R. Player 1 should press Up, Up, X while Player 2 presses Up, Up, Z. Get ready for a tough fighter with M. Bison/Vega.
Playstation: Beat the game on Level 5 or above
It is so much fun to do this cheat/mode. Although M. Bison / Vega is tough it’s fun to gain up on him and whoop some ass! Set the energy level to high in options so he doesn’t die so quickly and you can add combo after combo and super after super.
I remember my cousin and I just fighting M. Bison for hours just for kicks cause it was fun beating him up again and again. Playstation owners have it ough though cause they gotta beat the game on Level 5
The main theme song in used in the final battle scene was sung by Ryoko Shinohara 篠原涼子 which was extremely popular at that time and sold over 2 million copies! She is a beautiful, underrated, well known actress (been in a slew of Japanese TV dramas and some movies).
